Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Great when it decides to work.

AbFabKat 7/4/2019

I received this food processor about 6 years ago for a wedding shower. I use it maybe once a month. Not often and it started out working great when I did need it. About a year ago the bowl mechanisms do not engage properly so the motor won't activate. It's mechanism where the lid pushes the pin down at the handle to allow the motor to engage. I'm able to work around using a spoon handle to push the pin down to engage the motor but that leaves me with only one hand...not very efficient. From all of the other reviews it appears this is a major design flaw. I will send an email per the other reviews and hope that there's some resolution that KitchenAid can provide aside from an additional $55 replacement bowl and lid that will result in the same issue down the road.

Dissapointed with quality

Louise.1.2.3. 7/1/2018

I was happy with my kitchen aid food processor until the bowl stopped working. Upon looking at this website it appears to be a common problem. Disappointing that kitchen aid want to charge $69 for a replacement, its a bit steep given the original bowl was of poor quality.

Glad to know I'm not the only one...

Wannabe Cook 12/14/2017

My husband choked at the price of this 3 years ago but got it for me. Quit working right within 6 months. My fault for not following through with warranty. I basically quit using due to failure to work right. Most times if I push down on the lid it will work, but if I open the the lid to stir, I'm screwed. Can anyone tell me if ordering a new bowl will fix the problem otherwise I am going with a different brand.

Bowl not engaging safety switch

eadowd 10/21/2017

I've barely used my new KitchenAid food processor over the last 5 years and now the safety switch isn't being enabled by the handle like it's supposed to. Your company wants me to buy a new bowl?! Why would I spend $ to fix something that could just as easily break again? Looking at the Ninja.

So disappointed!

2/5/2017

I spoke with a friend about my Kitchen Aid 13 cup Food Processor and she told me I could get the bowl replaced for $50 through this website. I have had my mixer for 27 years...No problems! A convection oven for two years. Fingers crossed because my FP is just over a year old... and the warranty has expired! $50 for a part that looks like it will break again. I am so disappointed.

Disappointed

1/5/2017

I was so excited when I purchased this food processor, but it stopped working a little more than a year after my purchase. I finally got around to the website to order a new bowl, but found that everyone seems to have the same problem as I do. The bowl will no longer allow the motor to run. :( I love my other KitchenAid products, and I hate that this one seems to be a lemon for everyone.

Problems with Bowl / Lid

11/16/2016

My husband bought this for me a while back (I honestly can't remember how long I've had it. Maybe a year.). I was so excited to get the larger version. It worked great for quite some time, but now the lid is falling apart. There's a piece that I think needs to go into the bowl to turn it on, but it's falling off. I was going to buy a new bowl (not happily), but now I'm seeing all the posts about problems with the bowls. I'm wondering if any changes have been made so that if I get a new bowl now, this won't happen again in a year. I don't want to have to replace the bowl annually. It's too expensive of a machine for that. Hoping to hear back so I can decide what options I have. Thanks.

Bowl not working

11/2/2016

I am writing this as I have been thinking I was the only one with this problem. I was able to put a plastic spoon in the lid trigger and the motor definitely works but I can't get it to work after using it twice the normal way with the lid on. I see the comments about emailing customer service for others, so I will do that now too.

Frustrated and Disappointed

RLC Shopper 9/16/2016

I am very frustrated with my food processor. I do not use it often but when I want to use it, I expect it to work. It seems like I am experiencing the same problem as everyone else. The bowl is not letting the machine turn on. I know it is locked but it will not tell the machine that it is safe to use. Kitchen Aid is usually dependable but now I'm not so sure. I spent too much money on this product for it not to work. Ugh!!!!

Disappointed Too

4/19/2016

I LOVED this food processor until it stopped working less than one year after we bought it. The base works just fine but the bowl not longer "tells" the base it is on even when it is.

Disappointed

4/17/2016

We have had the exact same problem as the other reviewers. At the price point we paid for this food processor, we shouldn't have this issue. I had a small appliance repair person look at ours and he said there's nothing wrong with the motor--the problem is that when the bowl is locked in place it isn't "telling" the motor that it's safely locked and can run. So frustrating!

DISAPPOINTED

3/18/2016

I purchased this food processor and within a few months the bowl would not stay put, we have to hold it for the processor to work. We thought the bowl was broken, but after reading other reviews it sounds like this product is not good. someone advised us to purchase a different food processor, but my husband is a KitchenAid fan all the way. Everything in our kitchen is KitchenAid, from the stand mixer to the double oven. We came to this site to order a new bowl. I am seriously thinking about purchasing a different brand food processor because I do not want to have to replace another bowl.

Do I need a work bowl or seal?

3/7/2016

This is my second KA food processor. I stepped up to a larger one, I still have the other (which by the way never had an issue with). I had the same problem as Chris, I have to hold the bowl/lid together so they connect to use. This item s too expensive to have to go thru this.

OUT OF STOCK?

2/5/2016

The kitchenAid recommended location where I took my food processor stated that the product was made cheap. I have only used my food processor 4 times because it broke on the 3rd use. I couldn't figure out what I did. The repair person told me the little "plastic" part won't lock it, so guess what! I have to actually press down the "plastic thing" as if its locked with a screwdriver!!!! This thing was expen$ive. Plastic....Really! Come on kitchen aid!
