I'm very happy with my new GE microwave! It needed one to match my other GE kitchen appliances and be a very specific size to fit above my counter in a special microwave cupboard. The width is perfect for the cupboard and the Black Stainless looks great with my Slate appliances. I also love the Express and Sensor Cooking features of the microwave. It's exactly what I was searching for!

Everything we have tried so far is great, but I'm crazy about the timer! It actually beeps until I turn it off - unlike the old one which beeped once, whether I heard it or not.
I love the features and the instructions that accompanied the oven.
And what an attractive color! Yay!!!

I am enjoying all of the features this microwave offers, especially the Add 30 seconds feature. It does a great job of warming and/or cooking. The size was especially good for my built-in space.

I've had this microwave, just over a month, and have been pleased with it. Easy to use and clean, the alarm, when finished, is a pleasant sound, loud enough to hear, but not blasting. Gives another notice, to remind food is done, if you don't get it out right away. I would recommend.

I don't care about a bunch of options, but this has the ones I like, 30 second, beverage , reheat ( which I never thought about but like). And a few more options that I don't use, but it does what I want, which is cook food and heat water quickly. One part I really like is the inside height. It will easily take a 30oz glass like some of the over-the-range, or huge ones, but in a more manageable size, and as a countertop model I have found most are really short inside. Nice to find one that is the perfect size. I only wish that GE would stop manufacturing in China

We picked up our new GE microwave yesterday that we ordered a month ago. Came home, set it up and warmed up a cup of water to make sure it worked. The interior light is very dim, almost like a nightlight. It sounded very strange when it was running...very quiet. The interior fan didn't seem to be working. I contacted GE and was told this all sounded normal. That new microwaves are very quiet. So I attempted to use it and after a few minutes, it shut itself off. I opened the door and steam came pouring out. Needless to say, this is going back for a refund. Suggest a different brand.

Replacing a smaller version so features are the same which I like. Love the black stainless steel that matches our other appliances. Only wish the keypad was easier to see, it's very dark. At night I need a flashlight to read the buttons, but still love it. Huge interior!

It is quiet. Heats food faster than my old 1000 watt microwave. I like the push button compared to handle to open on my last one. Light is bright while cooking. Buttons need to be more touch sensitive, as have to press a little hard sometimes, but it is no big deal. Maybe they will fix that on newer models.

Set it up just before going on vacation. Worked well about 4 times then upon returning had a terrible noise and started smoking. Past return date so now dealing with customer service.

Very similar product to GE microwave we had for 25 years. Same sensor cooking, turntable size, and overall size to fit space. Some things different: higher watts on new one, buttons take a firmer push to activate, no "sound off" option (for when microwave used while others are sleeping nearby), button pad is dim and hard to read unless you turn on a light. Overall, a good purchase.

We bought this product 4 months ago and if we microwave something for 2-3 minutes it will shut down to cool off for 30 minutes. It's very annoying. Our last microwave (also ge) was able to be set inside our custom cabinet spot for the microwave and handle as many packs of ramen noodles as my kids made. This one has been removed from its nook and is ugly cluttering up the counter and still overheats!

The numbers and words on the keypad are light gray on black. They are very dim in daylight and we need a flashlight to see them at night. There is no back light. Our previous GE microwave had bright white numbers and words.

The first thing you notice about this microwave oven is how quiet it is. It does a good job heating up food and the sensor settings and quick start buttons are very convenient to get your meal heated quickly.

The first one we ordered arrived dented, not GE issue but frustrating. After going through hoops with Best Buy to get a new one the fan on the new one doesn't work. When it does work it sounds like someone is cutting tile. They say third time is a charm.

Our 13 year old GE quit working so we decided to order another GE from Home Depot. A week later the unit arrived, brought it home and set it up. The tray turned but no other noise came from the microwave. I attempted to heat an entree the next morning and the unit shut down and it was so hot it could not be touched. Once cooled down, we attempted to start it again only to have it stop working again. We boxed it up and returned to Home Depot. Went to Best Buy, who seems to be the only place in town to carry decent brand name microwaves and got a different brand. We were very disappointed because we preferred the GE but we could not wait another week for one to be ordered and shipped to the store.

Works as specified with normal intuition needed for operation. Specific instructions in manual were not supplied separately, only a decal with printed instructions in small print seen with the door open. Much quieter than previous19 year old Sharp.

We recently did a full renovation on our kitchen and put in a small microwave cabinet. We purchased all GE appliances (which I absolutely love, by the way) and they are all in the slate color. We decided to buy the microwave in black - because it cost half as much as the slate color, would arrive weeks earlier, and would be inside the cubby anyways. We love it! The color is actually a soft black, which looks surprisingly similar to the slate. So far, I love all of my GE appliances.

We wanted a black stainless microwave. Many of the other options are outrageously priced. Knowing that a microwave is typically not a long lasting machine, we felt the price for this unit was fair. Its a great size, fits anything you would need to microwave and actually has good power, we find things heat very quickly.

Rotating table is not calibrated to complete a cycle in a certain time frame associated with a minute. Door mechanism is loud, opening and closing. Timer is a little confusing.

Very powerful, quick cooking, attractive, lots of features (most of which I haven't even used yet). The only thing I don't like is how loudly it closes. There is no sneaking into the kitchen to use the microwave late at night! It echoes when you close it! Why can't it have a soft close feature? Other than that, I love it.

We are replacing a similar GE microwave that worked for many years. We picked up this new one from Best Buy today and it immediately failed to work right. After heating water for tea we tried to use it again and it totally shut down and was extremely hot right side of the top. After unplugging and plugging it back in it rebooted properly but persistently made ugly grinding noises despite several restarts.
What a disappointment. Will return tomorrow (a one hour drive each way). Not at happy camper. I guess GE is a thing of the past.
PS: A significant number of the one star reviews express similar complaints --- I should have paid more attention.
